PRIMP Grand Opening!

I know I’ve been slow getting on this whole blogging train, but I have some very exciting news to share. After a few months of hard work, the PRIMP network officially has a home! What is the Primp network you ask? Well, it’s a handful of some of the most talented ladies I know, and we’ve joined forces to create a network of creative women-owned businesses. Our goal is to thrive on supporting locally owned, women-run small businesses like ourselves, and we’ve set up shop under one roof in Victorian Village, creating the only full service photography studio in Columbus, OH! From photography to wardrobe to hair to make up, we’ve got our clients covered from head-to-toe!

The team includes myself, with a full service salon in the back coming soon; the ridiculously talented photography of Lauryn Brydy; the exquisite make-up artistry of Kelli Ramey; and the newest member of out team, the always fashionable Meagan Carey.

So please join us this Sunday, June 27th from 5-8pm for our Grand Opening at 433 W. 3rd Ave. Come check out our studio, have a few summery cocktails, munch on some delightful sweets, and meet the team!

Jessica and Tom – July 25, 2009

Jessica has been a client of mine for a while now, so when she came in and told me Tom popped the question, I immediately started whipping up a plan for her wedding hair.

The morning of the big day was a little rainy, but the moment I arrived at Jessica’s parents’ house, I knew that nobody was going to let that bring them down. So I set up shop in my office (the bathroom) and got to work.

We had discussed doing something very clean and classic, like a low chignon, for Jess’s wedding day style. Although she had started growing her hair as soon as planning began, I quickly realized we weren’t going to have quite enough for our vision, and improvised with some extra hair wefts I happened to have in my case. As I always say, why grow it when you can buy it? The end result was stunning.

What a gorgeous bride! Such classic beauty. The girls were amazing too. I styled the entire bridal party, minus one.

Despite the rain in the morning, the day ended up perfect. Congratulations Jess & Tom. Thanks for letting me be a part of your special day!
